If you walked into the FYCO pantry today, you’d see a balance of two essential worlds: the reliability of non perishable staples and the vibrant health of fresh produce grown right in our own backyard. We believe that true food security means giving our neighbors access to both the pantry basics and the garden fresh.
Balanced Nutrition
The Foundation: High quality canned and boxed goods remain a vital safety net. They provide the shelf stable security that struggling families need to get through a long month.
The Garden: Much of our fresh produce comes directly from our on site garden. By growing our own food, we ensure that our neighbors have access to nutrient dense vegetables that might otherwise be unaffordable at the store.
Food as Medicine: In collaboration with Cameron Health, we are proving that nutrition is a form of healthcare. For those in our community battling chronic illness, the food we provide isn't just a meal; it’s a tool for recovery and stability.
The FYCO Expertise
After two decades, we know that ending hunger isn't just about calories; it’s about Nutritional Equity. Whether it’s a can of soup from the shelf or a tomato from our garden, every item is distributed with the goal of fostering long term independence and health.
Our garden is a labor of love for the community. Want to help us grow? Donate produce, volunteer in the garden, or support our pantry financially today.
